Web Graphics and Scanning
Your website is a combination of graphics and information. If you are an
artist, graphics and images are even more important than the information
your site provides. The biggest mistake made on artist and art gallery
websites is images are too large and load slowly. Your images should small
as possible yet retain high quality. This is not often easy but this page
provides information that will help you to understand web graphics and
scanning images.

Graphics and Image Editing Software
Adobe Photoshop CS3
is the number one professional image editing program.
It's powerful,
difficult to learn and expensive. I've used it for Photoshop years and like it.
Please note that some of the software programs mentioned may have been updated, and it
is always best to purchase the most recently released software.
Adobe Illustrator CS3
is a software program that's used to create web graphics and other graphics in a vector format.
It's widely in the graphics and print industry.
Adobe Fireworks CS3
Another well respected product that is getting good reviews and when it comes to creating web graphics it's worth considering.
It's part of the Macromedia web development suite and works well with the other products in the suite.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 is a lower cost option for image editing, and
worth a look

I have not looked at this product in some time, it might be outdated.

Submit a web page and get back a list the images needing to be optimized.
The best product to use for optimizing your images is one of the Adobe products.
We use Photoshop and save a graphics as web images. It is fast and work well.
